A useful starting point.

Six teams create an eight-slot bracket with two first-round byes. The top two seeds advance automatically; the remaining four teams play. Five played matches produce the champion.

UNDER THE HOOD

The team count rounds up to the next power of two. Recursive seed placement separates high seeds and leaves unfilled lower-ranked seed positions empty, giving the highest-ranked seeds first-round byes. A seeded Fisher–Yates shuffle optionally assigns ranks. Advancement waits for both feeder matches; changing a result clears every dependent result. Results live only in the current page, so export before leaving.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few useful answers.

Does this support double elimination or round robin?

This version supports single elimination only, with no third-place playoff. Each played loss removes a team.

What happens with an odd number of teams?

The bracket adds enough empty slots to reach a power of two. Real teams opposite empty slots advance automatically; there are no matches between two absent teams.

Can I change a winner?

Yes. Select the other participant in that match. Every dependent later result resets so you can record the corrected path.

Are my results saved when I close the page?

No. Results stay in the current page session. Download the current SVG or print it before leaving; it is a visual record, not an importable tournament file.
